Soulfest is an annual music festival featuring Australian and international artists held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland. The major point of difference between Soulfest and other outdoor music festivals is the music is solely jazz, hip hop, rnb and neo-soul. == History == The idea for the festival was from promoter John Denison who is director at International Entertainment Group.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://johndenison.com.au/ )〕 He wanted to create a smaller festival with a different feel which would stand out in Australia; focusing on hip hop and neo-soul. Soulfest was held in October 2014 at variety of popular venues across Australia and New Zealand to much acclaim from both fans and critics. Soulfest Returns in 2015 On 11 May, Soulfest announced its return for 2015 in its sophomore year -the first artist announcement featured the Queen of RnB and Hip Hop Mary J Blige, Neo soul favourite Jill Scott, Jhene Aiko, Charlie Wilson, De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Floetry, Eric Benet, Dwele, Daniel Merriweather, Kamasi Washington, Remi, Dj Trey, Soul of Sydney Djs, Thandi Phoenix. A second artist announcement is imminent. The Festival promises to deliver over 25 acts, 4 stages, food, markets and more. Venues include The Domain in sydney, Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne and Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.
